THE PROCESS
Your paper journey, from first idea to mailbox.
Custom invitations entail many small decisions, each one shaping the way your story comes to life. When we work together, you’ll be invited into the moments that feel meaningful and inspiring, while I carry the details that keep everything moving toward the finished suite.

We begin by talking about your wedding: the setting, aesthetic, guest experience, what inspires you, what matters most, and what you may still be figuring out.

I develop three creative directions for you to consider, each with its own design approach and investment. You choose the one we’ll bring to life.

We develop your chosen direction through typography, artwork, color, wording, paper, print methods, and finishing details. I’ll guide you through decisions and make recommendations along the way.

Once everything is approved, I coordinate with printers and specialty vendors, and manage materials, proofs, quantities, and production timelines.

Addressing, calligraphy, envelope stuffing, belly bands, ribbon, postage, sealing, weighing, mailing—I take care of these final steps so your finished invitations leave my hands ready to arrive beautifully in theirs.

You don’t need to have the answers, or even know all the questions to ask. That’s where my full-service, hospitality-first approach comes in. I’ll guide you through etiquette and wording, provide clear instructions for your guest list, review proofs, recommend when an upgrade is worth the investment—and when it isn’t—and anticipate the small logistical questions before they become something you have to solve.
I also plan for real life. Extra invitations. Last-minute address changes. A little breathing room before files go to print. The tiny safeguards that come with years of experience in stationery.
My goal isn’t simply to make your invitations beautiful. It’s to make the entire experience of creating them feel remarkably enjoyable.

The Design Edit
Part of my signature service experience is discovering what you want before we begin.
After our first conversation, I’ll create The Design Edit: three distinct creative directions developed and sketched specifically for your wedding. Each explores a different interpretation of your vision, including the overall aesthetic, materials and print possibilities, and corresponding investment.

The Design Edit gives you three tangible design options to review. Instead of just describing what your invitation could look like, I show you right from the start.

From the first email until the day your wedding invitations land in mailboxes, a full design and production process typically lasts six to eight months. That timeline gives us room to design with intention, make thoughtful decisions, and allow production and mailing to unfold properly.
If your celebration is destination-based, involves multiple events, or includes an especially layered suite, we may want to begin even earlier. If you’re working with a shorter window, I’d still love to hear from you. We’ll work together to figure out what’s possible for your suite.

The Design Edit — three personalized design directions created entirely around your wedding — arrives within one week of your discovery call. The sooner we connect, the more time we have to make it extraordinary.
Design typically spans several weeks of collaboration — font pairings, paper choices, print methods, lifelike mockups, and proofing until everything feels exactly right.
Request replies 4–6 weeks before the wedding so you and your vendors have time to finalize seating, catering counts, and any last details.
Everything has been leading here. Your guests have their invitations, and every detail has been handled. All that's left is to enjoy every moment.

The full custom invitation experience typically spans six to eight months, from your first conversation to the mailbox.

My clients typically spend around $5,000–$10,000 for custom wedding invitations. That range includes thoughtful print methods and materials, custom details, and complete assembly and mailing.
The final price is shaped by the suite itself: the number of pieces, guest count, print methods, materials, finishing details, and the level of support needed through the project. The Design Edit makes these possibilities visible early, so you can choose a direction with clarity.
