Some weddings are simply extraordinary from the very first piece of paper. Aly and Andrew's celebration was one of them.

From the moment Aly reached out, it was clear this wedding was going to be something special. She knew exactly what she wanted — formal, romantic, and deeply considered — and the paper suite needed to match the occasion at every turn. The ceremony at the Church of Saint Mark in St. Paul. The reception at Nicollet Island Pavilion, one of Minneapolis's most beloved venues, glowing with candlelight and string lights against exposed brick and the Mississippi River just beyond the windows.

The invitation suite was built around a hand-illustrated floral motif — cascading roses in dusty blue ink on crisp white cotton paper, framed with a fine border and tied with a dramatic black silk ribbon bow. The combination of the delicate floral illustration and the bold black ribbon created something unexpected: romantic and formal at once. The blue floral envelope liner carried the motif from the outer envelope all the way in, so the experience of opening the suite was layered and intentional from the very first moment.

The paper story didn't stop at the invitation. A letterpress welcome party invitation on dusty slate blue — blind embossed, no ink, just texture and dimension — invited guests to O'Shaughnessy Distilling Co. the night before. A floral details card. A custom head table sign. Escort cards backed in matte black, arranged in arching rows around a lush floral centerpiece at the pavilion entrance. Table numbers with that same fine floral corner motif, each one tied with a frayed black silk ribbon. A love and well wishes card tucked into a matte black box for guests to leave messages.

Every piece was considered. Every detail connected back to the first envelope.

This is what full-service custom stationery looks like when it's done all the way through.
