Kaylynn — A Modern Vintage Wedding Suite
This suite was made for my daughter Kaylynn. She’s an empathetic soul, hates it if we do something different at Christmas (“MOM! it’s tradition!”) and loves to mix antiques with modern lines.
She wanted something that felt vintage but not precious. Warm but refined. The palette came first — dusty blue, rich rust, deep chocolate — and everything built from there. A custom hand-drawn monogram. A vintage floral wreath digitally printed and layered with letterpress text. A belly band in crisp white ink keeping each piece together.
The details card is still my favorite — an oval shape with blind letterpress and chocolate ink. The kind of thing you run your fingers across before you even read it. A close second might have been the seating chart. “Be Our Guest” was taken from her favorite childhood movie (any guesses?) and the vintage artwork was from an English painter, inspired by the Groom’s English heritage.
Kaylynn also wanted a QR code RSVP, so we letterpress-printed it directly onto the response card. Practical and beautiful at the same time.
The florals carried all the way through to her day-of paper — table numbers in vintage frames, menus that echoed the invitation. By the end, every piece of paper at her wedding felt like it belonged together.
